Article Focus:

We've been quite busy over the Summer months here in California, redesigning the COW's website. There are many new areas and features that make the COW even more useful. For starters, the COW's interface is simplified. It's intuitive, with a new look that users say they really like. But it's more than just a facelift, there are a lot of new features...

NEW FEATURE-RICH FRONTDOOR

The COW's new frontdoor updates live as things change in the COW during the day. It brings you the latest news, tutorials, reviews, hot threads, events, feature COW leaders, forums and much more. As we add and update new areas, they will be added, so it will keep expanding in the days ahead.

ENHANCED LIBRARY, SEARCH ENGINE & ARCHIVES

With nearly 900 articles in the COW Library, finding what you wanted could be a task. So, we redesigned and simplified our Library. We also added a new search engine that we are continuing to work on and improve - enhancing its speed and powers to give you easier access to not only the Library, but the COW's 1.4 million forum posts. You will also find new "visit our archives" links on the search engine page. Plus, for added simplicity, we have added a new search field directly on the forums pages that allows you to quick search just that forum.

RSS FEEDS, WIDGETS, GADGETS

The COW now has five RSS feeds that you can subscribe to to get the latest news, articles and other information sent directly to you by RSS feed. We also have gadgets and widgets for those who want their favorite After Effects, Final Cut Pro and other articles delivered to them, up to the minute. Check out the RSS button in the orange navigation bar for more details.

A FREE SERVICES SECTION TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS!

Whether you are a content creator, a tradesperson, a manager or a manufacturer - or anyone working in this industry - you can list yourself in our new Services area and it won't cost you a dime.. Yes, you can now hang your sign in the COW . Free. Really. Just visit our new Services area and upload your logo, set your category, fill in the details like your demo reel and your web address, and you are live in the COW. Oh, did I mention, it's free?

A NEW EVENTS CALENDAR

If you are interested in attending or are producing an event - anything from a conference, expo, local users group meeting, seminar, awards show, a film festival, or any one of many other industry-related events - you will want to stop by our new events calendar. Here, you can enter your event, add its logo, set it to easily (with the click of a button) Google map the address and more. If you are an event promoter, now you can freely post your news and reach the over 440,000 people a month who visit CreativeCOW.net.

WHAT'S UP NEXT?

Well, let's just say that we have been listening to our members and we hate to disappoint such a fine bunch of bovines. There are many other things just around the corner, so stay tuned.

Lastly, we'd value your input, as one of the nicest features of the new interface is that we can tweak it quite quickly. That's progress.

by William Mims
Creative Cow continues to be my "GO TO" place for answering questions about our business, especially tech questions as I make a transition from film to video. All the hard work you continue to put into this site is greatly appreciate by all of us that are members and visitors as well.
