 Robert Longwell is Director of Video Operations, Digital Media, for the Disney/ABC Television Group. He oversees all aspects of Digital Media's video workflow and has built the process from the ground up. This includes HD & SD video asset management, ingest, post-production, metadata creation, video transcoding, file delivery, video workflow tools and automated asset archival and restoration. Before joining ABC in 2004, Robert was a linear and Avid editor for 12 years. He has his fair share of war stories, including fixing a broken videotape once with duct tape, working in an edit bay located in an ex-funeral home, and even one located in an executive washroom.
